Reuse and refill your bottle…

A few notes on reusing your bottle…

  • NEVER TOP UP YOUR BOTTLE: EVOO should always be used fresh. After exposure to light, heat and oxygen the oil becomes rancid. If you top up a bottle with older oil, the fresh oil will quickly take on the taste and smell characteristics of the rancid oil.

  • REMOVING THE POURER SPOUT: Any round long object (like a pencil or dowel stick) can be inserted into the hole of the pourer spout until it protrudes on the underside of the spout. Very gently apply pressure to a side whilst slowly pulling the pencil out. The pourer should slide out with the applied pressure.

  • REMOVING OIL RESIDUE FROM THE GLASS: We recommend using a bottle brush and warm soapy water to scrub the internal sides of your bottle to remove oil particles that cling to the glass. Rinse a few times with warm water to help the process.

  • GIVE THE POURER A QUICK WASH: Hand wash the pourer with warm soapy water. We do not recommend placing the pourer in a dishwasher. Gently wipe the underside of the timber topper with a damp cloth- don’t sumberege the timber underwater- it will expand and crack the wood. If you find that the seal in the bottle is loose after a few uses you may contact us to arrange for a new pourer.

  • REFILL YOUR SPARKLING BOTTLE WITH OUR BULK OIL AND PAT YOURSELF ON THE BACK FOR REDUCING LANDFILL.

  • FAQ

Water vapour accumulates on the inside of my bottle after washing and won’t dry out…

On humid and wet days it may be hard to get the bottle to dry out completely without water vapour forming just below the neck of the bottle. If this is the case, we have found it useful to place the bottle in a low oven for a few minutes to dry out. We usually pop our bottle in after we have used the oven and it is cooling down. Please always remember to remove the pourer spout before placing the bottle in a warm oven.
